Amiee Mingus, RN, BSN, CASSPT is Vice President of Clinical Operations at PE GI Solutions. She oversees the team of clinical directors who work directly with the centers to guide them clinically and keeps them prepared for regulatory and accreditation surveys.
Amiee has 30 years' experience in healthcare, spending the last five and a half years with PE GI Solutions. She started her healthcare career working as a medical office manager, before graduating from the University of Alaska-Anchorage with a degree in nursing. She worked in hospital settings, before venturing into Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). During her time working in ASCs, she has gained certification in ambulatory surgery sterile processing.
Amiee is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the Society of Gastrointestinal Nurses and Associates (SGNA), Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA), and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). Additionally, she participates as a member of the Joint Commission Standards Review Council and the Ambulatory Care Accreditation Advisory Council. Amiee has also recently participated in the working group that edited Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation's (AAMI) ST91: Flexible and Semi-Rigid Endoscope Processing in Health Care Facilities. This is a document setting sterilization standards for endoscope reprocessing in healthcare facilities .
