Now the successful founder of Kurtz Creative, Robert Kurtz served as editor in chief of Becker’s ASC Review, an industry leading publication providing business, legal, and clinical guidance for ambulatory surgery centers published by ASC Communications. He also served as editor of and helped launch Becker’s Hospital Review, Becker’s Orthopedic, Spine & Pain Management Review (now Becker’s Spine Review) and Becker’s Clinical Quality & Infection Control.

He wrote and edited thousands of feature and news stories targeted at leadership within surgery centers, hospitals, health systems, and physician practices; managed and trained, assigned stories and projects to, and edited work of a team of full-time writers; wrote and laid out several e-newsletters distributed multiple times per week to 100,000-plus recipients; moderated and led numerous live conference sessions; moderated dozens of webinars annually; and developed promotions for live conferences, webinars, and other products.
Prior to joining ASC Communications, Robert served as communications manager/consultant for American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (which merged with the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association to form the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association); contributing author for almost a dozen healthcare publications; editor of three HCPro, Inc. newsletters; staff reporter for the Glens Falls Post-Star; and staff writer for the Long Island Business News.
